Eating Mindfully Is Difficult But Very Valuable
Today I simply want to point out that many of us eat too quickly and fail to concentrate when we eat. Before we know it we’ve gobbled down a 1400 calorie lunch and still “feel hungry”. It takes the brain about 20 minutes to recognize we’re full, and so that 1400 calories you inhaled in 10 minutes hasn’t even registered in our brain yet. Slow down, think about what you’re eating, how it tastes, how it makes you feel with every bite. If you do you’ll eat less, enjoy your food more, and will be much more likely to know when you’re full.
Therefore slow down, and think about what you’re doing!
